STREAM
SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, RELIGION, ENGINEERING, ARTS, MATHEMATICS
The St. Clement’s STREAM program builds on Project Lead the Way’s Launch Program by incorporating religion and the arts into the core STEM, or science, technology, engineering and math curriculum. Our’s is one of the most extensive technology programs in the Capital District. Every St. Clement’s student from Pre-K through Grade 5 participates. Students have access to our STREAM lab’s vast array of equipment, and throughout the week participate in engaging projects and learn to problem-solve in small groups.
MISSION
The mission of our STREAM program is to prepare our students to become creative thinkers and problem solvers as they utilize technology and information from a variety of fields to draw conclusions and work in collaboration across the curriculum.
CURRICULUM
Beginning in Pre-K and continuing through 5th grade, our students receive instruction in the use of technology. Classes begin with learning the basics of computer use and vocabulary and continue with a curriculum that builds on itself each year. Topics include word processing, coding, spreadsheets, graphing, keyboarding, research skills, video editing and much more.
