Early Childhood Program

The St. Clement’s Early Childhood Program is for 3 and 4-year-old children. The program is activity based and child-centered. Curricular themes are changed monthly to maintain interest and introduce variety. The curriculum is designed to stimulate each child’s desire to learn, spark curiosity and excite the questioning nature of 3 and 4-year-old children. Planned daily activities facilitate excitement and enthusiasm. Children learn by doing through experimental activity and play. Students use the playground for 30 minutes each day when the weather is appropriate. Our 4-year-olds also attend Library and Spanish class. Our early childhood program offers time and space for young children to be children while they are free to explore, play and imagine. A teacher and a teacher associate staff the program.

The 3-year-old program class has a maximum size of 16 students. The morning class is from 9:00am to 11:30am and the afternoon class begins at 12:30pm and ends at 3:00pm. A full day option is also available (9:00am-3:00pm). Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (There is no Extended Day Care for 3 year olds.)

The 4-year-old program meets on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Maximum class size is 18 students. The morning class is from 9:00am to 11:30am and the afternoon class begins at 12:30pm and ends at 3:00pm. A full day option is also available from 9:00am to 3:00pm. A Pre-K Extended Day Program is available between the hours of 8:00am and 3:00pm for an hourly rate. After 3:00pm, children may attend our regular Extended Day Program until 5:30pm.

Tuition is billed in ten monthly installments beginning in July through the FACTS Tuition Management Company. A nonrefundable fee of $300 is required upon application ($250 to be applied to tuition).

Early Childhood, Pre-K & Jr Tuition 2013-2014

Registration is held in November.

Entrance Requirements

  • Children entering the 3-year-old program must be toilet trained prior to the September entry date and be 3 years of age by December 1. Children entering the 4 -year-old program must by 4 years of age by December 1
  • Proof of immunization
  • Nonrefundable registration fee of $300

Early Childhood Staff

Michelle MoreauMrs. Michelle Moreau, AA
Mrs. Moreau, a mother of two children, is completing her twenty-sixth year on the faculty as the St. Clement’s Early Childhood teacher. She received her AA degree in Early Childhood Education from the Agriculture and Technical College at Canton. She has completed advanced training in the SUNY system. Mrs. Moreau is assisted by a full-time aide.
