Academics

St. Clement's offers a challenging academic environment based upon New York Standards. Achievement tests are administered in Grades 1 though 5 in early March.  In addition New York State tests are administered in Grades 3, 4 and 5.  Students in Grades 3, 4 & 5 take the NYS English and Language Arts (ELA) test, the Mathematics test.  Students in Grade 4 also take the Elementary Science Test.  Grade 5 students take the NYS Social Studies test.  Results of this testing program are used by the teachers to adjust curriculum, identify students for remediation and identify students for enrichment activities.  Parents receive the results of their child's performance on all standardized tests administered by the school.

We also offer Junior Great Books, Math and Science Club, Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, Young Scholars, Saturday Scholars and Project Enrich.
